The most useful thing you can ever do for someone that calls themselves an author (amateur, or otherwise) is to point out to them the places where their plot just doesn't click along the way it should. I know it may seem hard, you may even feel like you are raping them in the face by taking their hard work and turning it on its ear. But trust me, provide a handful of well phrased constructive criticisms to them, and (provided they are willing to listen, and are able to see what you are pointing out) you will forever be their best friend (Unless you expect to get paid for doing so).
With that in mind Love in the Time of the Vespa Part 01 has been revised and re-released, (Read Online... Download...) and If you have read the previous version(s) I greatly suggest re-reading, as it is a much more satisfying read this time (In My Opinion). I expect at least one more revision before I'm fully satisfied with it. In the end the little piece I said I needed to work out before returning to Vespa ended up being partially cannibalized into the revision. It petered out at about 2400 words, and although it could stand on it's own, I'm not fully satisfied with where I'm taking it, so It's not going to be released just yet.
I aren't ded.

To borrow the words of Granny Weatherwax (a more respectable character than any I've ever conjured from a better writer than I'll ever be [Terry Pratchett])
I've just been under the weather, and mortally distracted. Things completely unrelated to anything of importance have had me mesmerized as of late. Not the least of which is a bout with a summer flu, and a series of books I've been meaning to read for a while. I fully intend to return to writing this week, although I may have to shake something out of my head before I can re-mount the Vespa story, we shall have to see what comes out when I am up to going back to the grindstone.
The point of this, I suppose, is to not give up on me just yet. I've received a few responses to Vespa 01, in my e-mail and have greatly appreciated what I've gotten. Since I've finally had my account on ASSTR put through, I've been able to add "Feedback" to the blog, so you can now leave feedback via an online form (anonymously if you wish to not hear back). I've also uploaded a corrected version of the story in TXT and PDF versions.
I'm about half past tired now, so I'm going to call this good at this point. I hope you're all feeling better than me!
